Janie Fitzgerald is a VR photographer specializing in immersive media. A pioneer in interactive 360-degree imaging, she was one of the first professional photographers to ever shoot in the immersive format. She was commissioned to make interactive VR projects for the original showcase for Apple’s groundbreaking release of QuickTimeVR in 1995. She’s known for her innovative work, capturing unique environments around the world. She has worked on extraordinary projects, from the UNESCO sites such as The Acropolis to the landmark Carnegie Hall. As immersive technology and photography has evolved, she has continued to explore her original concepts and creative work using a variety of imaging technologies, Ai-Assisted media, and generative Ai.
